The remote console lets you actually watch and interact with the boot process, as well as the ability to access the BIOS, Drac, and the Raid controller. In regards to going Express or Enterprise, the largest difference is the remote console, which is on the Enterprise. With the 12th generation servers, the hardware is installed already. In the past it was that you would have to order the hardware for the Drac.
